내가 라스베가스 사는 아랑 카톡하다 걔가 스카이브있냐 묻길래 I haven\'t the skype 라 했는데 문법도 모르는 바보취급당함 미국애들은 난 뭐가없어 라 할때 haven\'t 라 안해?

<Have you...?> does sound formal and it is true that it is only said by some people in the UK. It is becoming uncommon but it is still used and also grammatically correct. Karen might be explaining it that way because it is not international. Learners should stick to <Have you got ...?> or <Do you have ...?>.
