1 . Taking the case of 응딩헤헤 as an example, we could recognize what is the main factor that has degraded the Korean society. That he, aledglley a Korean immigrant to Canada, now attending to a small college there, disparaged publicly a pitty young girl, who had nothing to do with him, with a despicably insulting word, FOB, the origin of which goes far back to the history of Vietnam boat poeple, infuriated many english gallary users including sir. Huncha, the wisest. What on earth can it be explainable for a young college student, who reiterated he's well educated, and still doesn't forget the cultural background of his own, to degrade his own people using the languae as such? Does it not well reveal the true face of Korean-american people, who are itching to benefit all sorts of medical well fare the Korean government provides for its own people, one of whom 응딯헤헤 insulted?
2 . Korea has never been so much divided economically, as well as politically, as it is now since the end of the civil war, which lasted three years straight. Korean people are more inclined to emotion, not rationality, in dealing with problems they encounter. They like creating their own rankings among people on the basis of social status, the amount of income and professions. Those factors that decide the hierarchy cause more divisions in the Korean society, and could eventually weaken the country itself.
3 . When Korean see somebody, what they do first is to weigh up that person; less than a few seconds are needed to establish an order of rank. The criteria of deciding this interpersonal relation are one’s job, income, social status and age. Those of assessing one's inner self are no where to be found.
