2. To me, the most thankful thing ever invented is "Smartphone". Here's a reason why I love smartphone. I have a friend who is very important in my life, but sadly, he has a problem listening. Before the smartphone was invented, the only way that we could communicate each other was just through texting or talk to his family. I couldn't hear his voice, and he couldn't either. However, with a invention of smartphone, we could see and express our thoughts more efficiently through large screen and influence each other's lives in good way. Since then, we felt so much closer than ever before.


3. To me, The most thankful thing ever invented is "Smartphone". People often point out that the most important feature of future invention should be '유비쿼터스'. '유비쿼터스' is communication environment that allow you to access network at anytime from anywhere without actually using computer or physical network. That being said, user friendly communication environment(technology) like '유비쿼터스' allow us to access to desired information quickly and easily and would make people's life much more convenient, especially for disabled people. And I want to say that developing technology is as important as improve understanding of disabled people's lives.

여러분. 저는 발명품을 주제로 장애인과 연관해서 영어발표를 맡게된 50대 늦깍이 학생입니다.

저의 뜻에 관해서 전달하고 싶으나 도저히 영어실력이 짧아 제대로 전달하지 못하게 될까봐 노심초사하는 심정입니다.

2. 스마트폰은 제가 가장 감사하게 여기는 발명품입니다.

저의 삶에서 가장 커다란 영향을 미쳤던 친구 중 한 명은 청각장애를 갖고 있습니다.

스마트폰의 발명 이전에는 그와 연락할 수 있는 방법은 문자메시지를 전송하거나 그의 가족으로부터 그의 소식을 전해듣는 것이었습니다. 나는 그의 목소리를 들을 수 없었고, 그는 나의 목소리를 들을 수 없었습니다.

그러나 스마트폰의 발명과 더불어 대화면의 액정을 통해 우리는 더욱 자주 서로의 존재와 마음을 확인할 수 있게 되었고, 다양한 어플 등을 통해 서로의 삶에 더욱 커다란 영향을 미칠 수 있게 되었습니다. 이것들은 우리의 관계를 더욱 돈독하게 만들어주었습니다.


3. 제가 가장 감사하게 여기는 발명품은 스마트폰입니다.

흔히들, 미래의 발명품의 가장 중요한 특성으로 ‘유비쿼터스’를 뽑습니다.

유비쿼터스는 사용자가 네트워크나 컴퓨터를 의식하지 않고 장소에 상관없이 자유롭게 네트워크에 접속할 수 있는 정보통신 환경을 의미합니다.

이렇듯 정보의 이용에 있어서 호의적인 환경은 누구보다도 장애인분들에게 커다란 도움이 될 것이라고 생각합니다. 인식의 증진만큼이나 기술의 발달은 장애인분들의 삶에 커다란 영향을 미칩니다.
