I recently read Dogs Don’t Tell Jokes by Louis Sachar, a book about Gary, a middle school student who plays a joke every time he dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian, but loses confidence when he is ignored by friends and family, but ends up successfully finishing a comedy at the school talent show.

I think the main character of this book is Gary. He is still young but he do hard work with a firm dream of becoming a comedian. So I impressed him because he has certain dream, but I don’t have any dream. Exactly, my dream changes too fast so I’m hard to choose my dream.

I enjoyed this book because it is very easy to read it and story is interesting. This book gives me lots of thinking, one of thinking is ‘Don’t give up and do your best’. In this book, Gary efforts to be a best stand-up comedian but he ignored his comedy by his friends. He disappointed, but he never give up and he do his best. So, he perfectly finished stand-up comedy at school talent show. At this part, I got a thinking what I said. We already have a common saying, it is ‘Your efforts will never betray you’. As it is when you do your best and don’t give up your work or dream, you can be a best of your dream.

I would recommend the book to my friends. Because this book’s genre is upgrowth. So I think it's a good book for us at puberty. And this books has many comedy sentences. But these sentences are not really funny, these sentences will help my friends to read it and gets some interesting.
