Fantastic if it’s T10–15 (Ivies, MIT, Stanford, Chicago, Duke, Yale, Penn) → great OCR + global brand.
Risky if it’s 20–30 range → weaker OCR, plus H-1B lottery risk makes long-term career viability uncertain.
US comp is higher, but immigration is the bottleneck.
Simple framing:
If your priority is prestige + global career launch + lower visa risk → UK G5 wins.
If your priority is maximum comp + best-in-class brand (T10 only) and you’re willing to gamble on visas → US top tier wins.
US T20–30 without PR = least viable compared to G5.
