Notes/Speculation

Dark Souls and Armored Core V seem to have been revealed at Playstation Meeting 2011 in Tokyo. As far as I can tell, what was referred to as "Playstation Meeting" as late as 2016 is, as of 2017, simply the Sony conference at Tokyo Game Show (which happened in September).

 

Dark Souls II was revealed at Spike Video Game Awards 2012. Spike Video Game Awards is succeeded by The Game Awards.

 

Bloodborne and Dark Souls III were revealed at E3 2014 and 2015, respectively.

 

Dark Souls III's E3 2015 (Jun 15) reveal trailer is the most recent official game reveal by From Software. Since then, they have mentioned 3 games in development, but none have been officially revealed.

 

The waits between previous official game reveals are as follows:

2 years, 1 month (two trailers);

1 year, 10 months (one trailer);

3 months (one trailer);

1 year, 5 months (one trailer);

11 months (one trailer)

 

The longest wait between a single official reveal and the next was 2 years and 1 month, between Demon's Souls and Dark Souls [as well as ACV, which seems to have been revealed on the very same day as Dark Souls].

 

The average time between each individual official reveal (keeping in mind that DkS and ACV were revealed on the same day) is 1 year and 1 month, or 13 months.

 

The current wait between Dark Souls III's official reveal and From's next official reveal as of the end of October is 2 years and 4.5 months, or 28.5 months.

 

The likely events for From to reveal their next projects during, considering recent past reveals, are Playstation Experience 2017 and E3 2018.

 

At the time of PSX 2017***, it will have been 30 months since the official reveal of Dark Souls III. Considering the average time between reveals, From could have two games ready to reveal at PSX 2017.

 

At the time of E3 2018***, it will have been 36 months since the official reveal of Dark Souls III. Considering the average time between reveals, From could have between two and three (2.76) games ready to reveal at E3 2018.

 

Taking all of this into consideration, my speculation would be:

 

1) From will reveal a new Armored Core game, as well as a PSVR game, at PSX 2017 (Dec 9-10)

2) From will reveal a new Soulslike game at E3 2018 (June 12-14)
