If someone is let go, for whatever reason, they're let go, even if it's officially always called "contract prematurely ended", "X and the management don't share their view on how to do X" etc. I was being kind instead of doing the cold approach. Did you interpret it differently?

And for the record I've been in the gaming industry for more than 20 years. Not that it makes any difference. You can be great with no experience and a douche with a lot of it.
