AD1611년에 영국에서 킹 제임스 성경이 처음 인쇄될 무렵, 윌리엄 셰익스피어는 46회 생일을 맞았다. 당시 학자들은 그의 생일을 기념하기 위해 시편 46편을 취해 앞에서 46번째 단어를 ‘요동하다’는 의미의 ‘shake’(3절)로, 뒤에서 46번째 단어를 ‘창’을 뜻하는 ‘spear’(9절)가 되도록 맞추어 ‘Shakespear’라는 이름이 나타나게 해주었다. 의심스럽다면 킹 제임스 성경의 영어판을 지금 확인해봐도 좋다. 결국 셰익스피어는 성경시대에 살지 않았으면서 유일하게 성경에 이름이 언급된 사람이 된 것이다. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 위의 글은 국민일보에 올 해 4월에 실렸던 기사 중 일부라오. 재미있는 것 같아서 스크랩을 했었소. 혹시나 해서 1611년에 영국에서 나온 KJV의 원본을 살펴보았소. 진짜더구랴..... --; 아래의 것으로 보는 게 더 쉬울 거요. 킹 제임스 성경의 시편 46편 1.
