U1. USA and the UN, in an era filled with racial prejudices, shed blood together to protect South Korea from communism. This was possible because of a belief in the potential of humanity beyond race.

U2. USA, after a forgotten war, did not hesitate to provide supplies, technology, political, and military support to help rebuild South Korea, then one of the poorest countries in the world. This was possible because of a belief in humanity and democracy beyond the boundaries of any single nation.

U3. USA’s support didn’t end with mere assistance. USA provided all the support and effort necessary for South Korea to establish a self-sustaining system, enabling it to stand on its own. This was possible because of a shared vision for humanity that transcends time and space.

U4. USA has also faced similar challenges, and I believe it can understand the systemic issues currently arising in South Korea. The 4B movement (an anti-intellectual trend that has persisted over time in South Korea), led by extreme anti-intellectuals in South Korea, in no way reflects the trust, love, and compassion that USA has shown to South Korea. These anti-intellectuals do not represent the people of South Korea.


As a rational human being and a South Korean citizen, knowing and understanding all of this, I appeal to reason beyond time and space and share this message of 4U.

We go together. In the fight against anti-intellectualism.





U1. USA와 UN은 인종적 편견이 가득한 시대에 함께 피 흘리며 남한을 공산주의로부터 지켜냈으며, 그것은 인종을 넘어 인류의 가능성을 믿었기에 가능한 일입니다.

U2 .USA는 잊혀진 전쟁 이후 세상에서 가장 가난했던 남한을 재건하기 위해 물자와 기술, 정치와 군사적 지원을 아끼지 않았으며, 그것은 국가를 넘어 인류와 민주주의의 가능성을 믿었기에 가능한 일입니다.

U3. USA는 단순한 지원에 그치지 않았습니다. 남한이 스스로 일어나 자립하는 시스템을 갖추도록 모든 지원과 노력을 아끼지 않았으며, 그것은 시간과 공간을 넘어 모든 인류가 추구하던 방향성을 가지기에 가능한 일입니다.

U4. USA도 비슷한 상황을 겪었기에, 남한에 일어나는 시스템 오염을 이해할 것입니다. 지금 남한의 극단적 반지성주의자들에 의해 벌어지는 4B운동(남한에서 오랜 시간 지속된 반지성주의 경향)은, 결코 USA가 남한에게 보인 신뢰, 사랑, 자비에 대한 피드백이 아닙니다. 그리고 반지성주의자들이 남한 시민을 대표하지도 않습니다.


나는 이성을 가진 인간이자 남한 시민으로서 이것을 이해하고 알기에, 시간과 공간을 초월한 이성에 호소하며 4U를 전합니다.
