영국의 영어사전인 Cambridge English Dictionary가 최근 업데이트에서 anti-natalism 항목을 추가했습니다.


새로운 고통이 만들어지는 것을 예방하는 인도주의적 운동으로서 반출생주의를 일반인들에게도 널리 알리기 위한 첫걸음이 될 것으로 보입니다.

반출생주의를 "아이를 가지는 것이 도덕적으로 잘못되었다는 신념 혹은 사람들이 아이를 가지지 말아야 한다고 장려되어야 한다는 신념" 이라고 풀이했습니다.


비록 반출생주의 내부에 다양한 의견이 있지만, 이정도면 중립적으로 잘 풀어놓은 것 같습니다.



한국에서도 국어사전에 '반출생주의'가 등재된다면, 일반인들도 반출생주의까지는 아니더라도 출산 행위의 도덕성에 대해 고민이라도 해보고 애를 낳지 않을까 싶네요.
