혼수상태에서 깨어난 볼턴 미드필더 파브리스 무암바(24). 

무암바는 지난 18일(이하 한국시각) 영국 런던 화이트하트레인에서 열린 토트넘과의 잉글랜드 FA컵 8강전에서 전반 41분쯤 갑작스런 심장마비로 쓰러져 병원으로 후송된 뒤 의식불명 상태에 빠져 있었다. 이틀 만인 20일 의식을 회복했다. 그런데 의식을 회복한 그의 입에서 나온 첫 마디가 화제다.

"우리팀이 졌나?" 

영국 일간지 더 선은 21일 '무암바의 상태가 호전되고 있으며 주변 사람들과 대화를 나눌 수 있을 정도다'라며 지인들의 반응을 전했다. 이 보도에 따르면 무암바의 친척은 무암바의 질문에 '경기가 연기됐다'고 답했다. '왜 경기를 연기시켰나'고 무암바가 되묻자 그는 '너 때문이다'라고 답했다. 왜 병원에 입원해있는지도 모르면서 오직 머릿속에는 경기에 대한 생각뿐이었다는 친척의 설명도 이어졌다.

한편, 오언 코일 볼턴 감독은 무암바의 상태가 호전됐다는 소식을 듣고 병원을 방문해 무암바와 대화를 나눈 것으로 알려졌다.
