소설 페테르부르크 읽고 있는D, 문장이나 풍경 묘사를 끊임없이 반복하고 뇌절하는 부분이 이상하게 끌리네...




이건 내가 두세 개 재미있는 문장들 진짜 짤막하게 번역한 거(영역본), 의역, 오역 있을 수도 있음.





A). From one infinity he fled into another; and then stumbled against the embankment; here everything came to an end: the melodic voice of the motor car roulade, the yellow-and-red tramcar and the man-in-the-street of every kind; here were both the end of the earth and the end of infinity.

 저기 무한의 경치들은 무한 속에서 경주를 진행하고 있으며 동시에 무한을 향해 서로 경주 중인 무한대로 교차하는 그림자들이 있다. 모든 페테르부르크는 n의 거듭제곱으로 이루어진 경치의 무한함이다. 반면에 페테르부르크 그 너머에는 — 아무것도 없다.
