오늘 영소설 읽다가 발견한 문장임


An artisan of unlife, the sculptor appears as a grim skeletal form. It moves swiftly and with impetuous fury, the sole thought within its being to rend you apart with great fervour. As it rages, it creates a cacophonous din. It brings your doom and will feast on your remains.


unlife 는 산 것도 아니고 죽은 것도 아닌 언데드의 상태인데 한국어에는 이걸 묘사할 어휘 없음

cacophonous din은 귀에 거슬리는 큰 소음이 간헐적임이 아니라 끊임없이 지속된다는 것인데 한국어는 이 뉘앙스 살릴 수 없음

feast on your remain은 피반죽으로 만들어버린 다음에 그걸 갖고 카니발을 벌인다는 것인데 한국어로 적절하게 묘사할 수 없음.

아니 할 수야 있는데 문장이 존나 길게 늘어짐


왜 한국어는 이렇게 열등한 병신언어일까??


갓양남으로 태어났으면 이런 세밀한 묘사와 뉘앙스를 더 즐길수 있었을텐데..
