@스터브 창비에서 나온 번역서들은 번역이 악평이고...V도 그렇게 좋은 번역은 아니라고 들어서...김성곤 역자님이 믿을만하긴 한데 나이때문에...
@스터브 핀천이 번역하기 어려운건가? 조이스 포크너 나보코프도 좋은 역자 만나서 독자들이 잘 읽는 건데 핀천도 그럴 날이 올까
핀천 번역 난이도는 어려운 게 맞음. 이과적인 지식이라든가 대중 문화라든가 그런 것도 알아야 해서. 그리고 단어들도 그대로 해석하기 보다는 작품에 대한 이해가 필요한 게 많음

@책은도끼다 메딕은 18세기 영어+명사 전부 대문자로 바꿔놔서 형식이나 문체가 좀 괴상함… 번역하더라도 원문을 그대로 살리진 못할듯
