Many of the students of this course might not be familiar with the concept of giving invocations or other spiritual exercises. You might look at an invocation as a set of positive affirmations that are composed of two particular elements. One element is a series of affirmations that each deal with a specific dualistic lie, a specific dualistic illusion, concerning your sense of identity and your relationship to God. By reading these affirmations aloud, you are anchoring the higher truth they affirm in your subconscious mind, your energy field or aura. You will gradually begin to counteract the dualistic beliefs you have stored there. The other element of the invocation is the verses that rhyme and that are repeated after each of the individual affirmations. This element of repetition gives a powerful rhythm to the invocation. If you look at nature, you will see that rhythm is an integral part of God’s creation. There are many spiritual people who know the power of rhythm, of repeating a particular ritual. You also see rhythm in the change of the seasons, you see it in music, and you will note that God used the power of sound to issue the command: “Let there by light!” By repeating an invocation, you generate wave upon wave of energy. By invoking such waves of high-frequency spiritual energy and directing them through the individual affirmation, you are sending light into your personal energy field where it will consume all misqualified energies.

You will have to put forth a great effort to follow this long course. I ask you in all sincerity to also take the step that will bring the fulfillment of your efforts. I am asking you to make a big commitment, and to make it with the absolute determination that you will see it through. What I am asking you to do is to give each invocation for nine consecutive days while studying the corresponding chapter. I am asking you to set aside time from your busy schedule and go into a room where you can remain private and undisturbed. Begin by reading a section of a chapter. It can be short or long as your time allows. Read to the point where you feel you have encountered an idea that has a message for you or an idea that you do not understand but that you sense is important. At that point, stop reading and start giving the invocation by reading it aloud with all the intensity of your heart flame.

I know that for many people this will require a sacrifice and it will require them to do something they have never done before. It might feel awkward in the beginning, but it will soon begin to flow naturally and you will feel that it becomes a joyful part of your day. If you want the full benefit from this course, it is absolutely essential that you give the exercises. Over the years, I have seen so many spiritual people who started reading some teaching on spirituality or abundance. They took it all into their minds and felt they had a great intellectual understanding, but they were reluctant to take actual physical steps in order to bring the abundant life into manifestation. Each of these people failed to achieve the results they desired. If you are to have results from this course, you cannot simply read the chapters. You cannot allow yourself to think that taking in from the book is enough. You must also give something out, and I have designed these invocations specifically to help you get out of any negative spirals you might be in, thereby putting your life into an upward spiral that neither your mortal self nor the prince of this world will be able to reverse. I ask you to seriously consider giving the invocations.

My beloved, I realize this is a big commitment, but if you will carry this through, your life will never be the same. You will literally realize that you have turned your life into an upward spiral, and you now have the understanding and the tools you need to continue that spiral and even accelerate it. As you do, you will manifest the truly abundant life in the form of both spiritual and material abundance. Consider very seriously how you can change your daily schedule in order to accommodate starting this vigil.
