Before you can begin to truly comprehend the ascended masters and their teachings, it is helpful to consider, that you have been brought up with a world view that is out of touch with reality. This world view is dualistic, which among other things means that it portrays a world made up of separate compartments.

For example, traditional Christianity (and many other religions) say there is the material world and heaven, but you cannot get to heaven on your own; you need the priesthood of the external religion. Scientific materialism says the material world is all there is, and outside of it there is nothing. Materialism also says that matter is separated from mind, which means mind cannot have power over matter.

For thousands of years, almost every religion has had a mystical branch, which has gone beyond the dualistic world view. And since 1905, even science has had an opening for a mystical world view. With his formula, E=mc2, Albert Einstein proved that the world does NOT have separate compartments. Einstein’s formula says that everything is energy, which means that reality is made up of a continuum of energy, a continuum of vibrations.

This goes beyond the materialistic view that there cannot be anything outside the material universe. According to Einstein, there can be an infinite range of vibrations, some of which might be undetectable with current scientific instruments. In other words, Einstein proved mathematically that it is possible that mystics are right when they say there is a spiritual world beyond the material world.

Yet Einstein did not thereby validate the traditional religious view of a separate heaven and earth. On the contrary, he challenged this view. According to Einstein, everything is made from energy, and the only difference between one form of energy and another is a difference in vibration. Which means that any form of energy can be converted into any other form of energy by changing its vibration.

Einstein’s formula says that the material world is created from energy of a very high vibration, which has been lowered in vibration by a certain reduction factor (Einstein saw it as the speed of light squared). This means the material realm is created from the same energy as the spiritual realm. Matter is spiritual energy that has been lowered in vibration.

The consequence is that the material world is made from the same “stuff” as the spiritual world, or rather, it is an extension of the spiritual world. And this means there is no impenetrable barrier between this world and the spiritual realm. You do not need an external religion on earth in order to qualify for entry into heaven. You need to raise your consciousness, so you can experience the spiritual world directly, whereby you will be in heaven.

The most basic teaching of the ascended masters is that “the kingdom of heaven is within you.” Which truly means that the key to changing your personal life on earth and the key to entering a higher realm is to shift your state of consciousness. Thus, the central focus of the teachings of the ascended masters is to give you ideas and practical tools that will facilitate this shift in consciousness.
