Your Christ self knows that you need to follow a gradual, step-by-step path from your current level of consciousness to the full Christ consciousness. It is not seeking to get you to make this journey in one giant leap – as many spiritual seekers want – it is seeking to help you take the next step, and then the next and so on.

This means that there is NEVER a situation where your Christ self cannot reach you. You always have the option to hear your Christ self; the question is whether you are willing to open your mind and heart to something that is beyond your current perception filter. If you are not willing to reach beyond your perception filter, you will not be able to hear the voice of your Christ self. Instead, you will hear the louder voice of your ego, the mass consciousness or false teachers, who will tell you what you want to hear.

It is wise to be aware that our outer selves always want confirmation for what we are currently doing or what we currently believe. Since our Christ selves only seek to help us transcend our current state, they will never give us this validation. Which means that the more focused we are on getting validation, the less we will be able to hear the “still small voice” of our Christ selves.

Your Christ self is not trying to make you comfortable; it is seeking to help you grow. Your ego is seeking to stop your growth, and thus it will tell you what makes you feel comfortable, if that can keep you under the ego’s control. (The ego might also manipulate you into being very uncomfortable, if that will help it control you.)

【여러분의 그리스도 자아】는 【여러분을 편안하게 만들려고】 노력하고 있지 않습니다; 【그것(여러분의 그리스도 자아)】은 【여러분이 성장하도록 도우려고】 하고 있습니다. 【여러분의 에고】는 【〔여러분의 성장〕을 멈추려고】 하고 있습니다, 따라서 【만약 그것이 〔여러분〕을 〔에고의 통제 아래에〕 유지할 수 있다면】, 【그것(여러분의 에고)】은 【여러분】에게 【여러분이 〔편안하게 느끼도록〕 만드는 것】을 말할 것입니다. - 만약 그것이 【여러분을 통제하는 데】 도움이 된다면, 에고는 또한 여러분을 조종해서 매우 불편하게 만들 수도 있습니다 -.

Jesus talked about the importance of attuning to your Christ self when he said:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
