Explain the difference between a presumptive test and a conclusive test. Is the Kastle-Meyer Color test presumptive or conclusive? Is blood serotyping presumptive or conclusive? Why do presumptive test at all? 2. What other testing could be done on the blood that would be conclusive? 3. Research the Kastle-Meyer test to find out what chemical reactions are happening to turn the phenolphthalein pink. Write the reactions in your lab report.
