Life, on the level of each individuals, hasn't changed in the sense that we are providing labor to be provided with food, labor et cetera. Korea, fails to suffice for any, high rate of depression/suicide, parenthood decreasing, high price for low quality housing/food, and decreasing quality of education accompanied by high prices due to unnecessary artificial pressure of competition support that claim. Fundamentally, this roots in Korea failing to mature out of its growth, needing a radical change to compensate the retardation. Which seems impossible, much like the birth rate. What kind of efforts can be made, if any?
