Alan Viner A justifiably splendid review in the light of a beautiful first CD from this dazzling young pianist. Seong-Jin Cho brings a totally original and welcome approach to the music of Chopin who, among all the Romantic composers for piano, is unique in searching out the innermost emotions and feelings of the human spirit. We have in Seong-Jin a young maestro of phenomenal talent: he's already one of the greatest young artists of his generation. If he can produce such brilliant quality at the age of only 21, what will he be producing in 5, 10, 20, 30 years from now? I was so moved by his performance of the E minor concerto in Birminham nearly 2 weeks ago......I really hope he returns to the UK soon!! In the meantime, at least I have the CD to listen to!
