Jannik Sinner on the possibility of Darren Cahill going back on decision to retire from coaching at the end of this year


"We made a bet before the final… I told him that if I won, I could choose whether he would stay at the end of the year or not. Now the choice is mine!” ????


“I've always looked for an honest person who gives me so much, not just on the tennis court, but also in life outside, both in success and disappointment. He's great at that.”


“If I choose to stay with him, he probably won't travel so much anymore, that's normal. I've always told him I'd like to have him in Australia, because things are going well. Plus, the season is still long, there are still a lot of tournaments to go, and I'll still see him a lot... But I won the bet, now we'll see.” 

Jannik Sinner는 Darren Cahill이 올해 말 코칭에서 은퇴하기로 한 결정을 번복할 가능성에 대해 다음과 같이 말했습니다.


"결승 전에 내기를 했어요… 제가 이기면 시즌 종료 후 팀에 남을지 말지 제가 결정할 수 있다고 말했죠. 이제 선택은 제 몫이에요!" ????


"저는 테니스 코트에서만이 아니라, 성공과 실패 모두에서 제게 많은 것을 주는 정직한 사람을 항상 찾아왔어요. 그는 그런 면에서 정말 훌륭해요."


"제가 그와 함께 있기로 한다면, 아마 더 이상 여행을 많이 다니지 않을 거예요. 당연한 일이죠. 저는 항상 그에게 호주에 두고 싶다고 말해 왔어요. 상황이 잘 풀리고 있으니까요. 게다가 시즌은 아직 길고, 아직 대회도 많고, 앞으로도 자주 만날 수 있을 거예요... 하지만 제가 내기에서 이겼으니, 이제 두고 봐야겠죠."
