CNN은 1964년 미 랜드연구소가 전문가 82명을 인터뷰해 내놓은 미래 예측 보고서 내용도 소개했다.

보고서에 따르면 1980년에는 로봇이 집안일을 하고 화성 착륙이 성사된다. 1995년이면 인간의 수명이 50년 늘어나고 1999년에는 달에 군사력을 배치할 수 있다.

2015년에는 시간 여행을 할 수 있게 해주는 혼수상태 기술이 나오고 2020년에는 사소한 일을 시킬 수 있도록 유인원과 다른 동물의 사육이 가능해진다. 2020년을 바라보던 1960년대의 인식을 엿볼 수 있는 대목이다.
