정확이는 구약성서에서. 옛날에 유대인들은 위에 사진과 같이 천상에 천국이 그리고 중간엔 평평한 지구가 그리고 지하엔 시올(sheol)이란 사후세계를 믿었음 그래서 이와 관련된 내용들이 성경에 들어있음


(Isaiah 11:12): He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
(Job 37:3): He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven    and sends it to the ends of the earth.
(Deuteronomy 4:32) Heaven extended down to and was coterminous with (i.e. it touched) the farthest edges of the Earth


(Genesis 1:6–8) Below that was a layer of water, the source of rain, which was separated from us by an impenetrable barrier, the firmament


특히 구약성서로 갈 수록 지구가 평평하단 묘사가 많은데  이게 딱히 말 곳대로 “지구가 평평하다” 이렇게 해석 될 거는 아님. 그리고 유대인들이 구약성서를 적으면서 사실 지구가 둥글다는 걸 깨달음. 그래서 나중에 갈수록 성경에서 지구가 평평하단 묘사는 적어지고 나중에는 그냥 비유적인 의미로 쓰임.
