일단 타국의 지도자 선출에 간섭하는 것부터 문제인것을 넘어, 그 나라에 폭격을 가하고 엄연히 공식적으로 국가와 종교를 대표하는 지도자를 암살한 마당에 저런 발언을 떠벌린 탓에 안그래도 순교와 복수를 원천으로 삼는 교리와 역사를 가진 시아파 성직자들이 오히려 빡돌아서, 다소 지도자 자격에 여러 여지가 있는 모즈타바에 몰빵하게 됨.
