3일전 독일 방문 당시 기자단과의 질문 속에서 "너님의 부추김으로 인한 전쟁 때문에 엄청나게 많은 이란 민간인이 사망했는데 이에 대해선 어케 생각하심?"라는 한 기자의 물음에 레자 팔레비는 엄청난이란 규모의 표현에 의구심을 표했으며, 이윽고 전쟁 도중 사망한 사람은 신정 정부의 인사 혹은 앞잡이라면서 이를 부수적인 피해에 불과하다고 말함.
