Tae Kwon Do

Like its Japanese counterpart, karate, tae kwon do was synthesized from indigenous Korean fighting styles and external styles of kung fu imported from China. 

Tae kwon do is famous for its flashy high and spinning kicks, often complimented with rapid hand strikes, and continues to be one of the most popular combat sports in Korea.
