Wuxing (Level Two)
The Stargazer exploits the mystical resonance between the Asian elements of water, fire, earth, metal, and wood, transforming one element into another. An avatar of Chimera teaches this Gift.System: The player rolls Manipulation + Enigmas (difficulty 7). Each success allows for one square foot of a particular element (water, earth, fire, metal, or wood) to be changed into an alternate type of the same group of elements: Fire may become wood, water may become earth, and so on. The dimension and shape of the element doesn’t change — a fire in a fireplace still retains its “shape,” but may now be made of wood, or even water (which retains the same shape, becoming liquid held fast to a specific contour). The effect lasts for a number of turns equal to the character’s Gnosis rating.
