마태복음 10장


26 그러므로 그들을 두려워하지 말라. 이는 덮어진 것 중 드러나지 않을 것은 아무것도 없고 숨겨진 것 중 알려지지 않을 것은 아무것도 없기 때문이라.

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.


27 내가 어둠 가운데서 너희에게 알려주는 것, 그것을 너희는 빛 가운데 말하라. 그리고 너희가 귓속으로 듣는 것, 그것을 너희는 옥상들 위에서 선포하라.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.


28 그리고 몸을 죽여도 혼을 죽일 수 없는 자들을 두려워하지 말라. 반면 혼과 몸 모두를 지옥에서 파괴시킬 수 있으신 그분을 오히려 두려워하라.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


29 참새 두 마리가 일 파딩8에 팔리지 아니하냐? 그리고 너희 아버지 없이는 그것들 중 한 마리도 땅바닥으로 떨어지지 아니하리라.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.


30 오히려 너희 머리에 있는 바로 그 머리카락들까지도 전부 계수되느니라.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.


31 그러므로 너희는 두려워하지 말라. 너희는 여러 마리의 참새들보다 더 귀중하니라.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.


32 그러므로 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 시인하면, 나도 그를 하늘에 계신 나의 아버지 앞에서 시인하겠노라.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.


33 그러나 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 부인하면, 나도 그를 하늘에 계신 나의 아버지 앞에서 부인하겠노라.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.




누가복음 12장


1 그러는 동안 사람들의 무수한 무리가 한데 모여 그들이 서로를 밟을 정도가 되었을 때, 그분께서는 자신의 제자들에게 우선적으로 이같이 말씀하기 시작하셨느니라. “너희는 바리새파 사람들의 누룩, 곧 위선을 경계하라.

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


2 이는 덮어진 것 중 드러나지 않을 것은 아무것도 없고 숨겨진 것 중에도 알려지지 않을 것은 아무것도 없기 때문이라.

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.


3 그러므로 너희가 어둠 속에서 이야기해 온 것은 무엇이나 빛 가운데서 들리리라. 그리고 너희가 골방들 안에서 귓속에다 이야기해 온 것은 옥상들에서 공포되리라.

Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.


4 그런즉 나의 친구들인 너희에게 내가 말하노니, ‘몸을 죽인 뒤에 더 이상 그들이 할 수 있는 것이 없는 자들을 무서워하지 말라.’

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.


5 그러나 나는 너희가 두려워해야 할 분에 대하여 너희에게 미리 경고하겠으니, 죽인 후에 지옥에 던져 넣는 권능이 있으신 그분을 두려워하라. 진정, 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘그분을 두려워하라.’

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.


6 참새 다섯 마리가 이 파딩6에 팔리지 아니하냐? 그런데도 하나님 앞에서는 그것들 중 한 마리도 잊히지 아니하느니라.

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?


7 그러나 심지어 너희 머리에 있는 바로 그 머리카락들까지도 모두 계수되었느니라. 그러므로 두려워하지 말라. 수많은 참새들보다 너희가 더 가치 있느니라.

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.


8 또한 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 시인하면 인자 역시 하나님의 천사들 앞에서 그를 시인하리라.

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:


9 그러나 사람들 앞에서 나를 부인하는 자는 하나님의 천사들 앞에서 부인되리라.

But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.


10 그런즉 누구든지 인자를 대적하여 말 한마디를 하면, 그것이 그에게 용서되리라. 그러나 성령을 대적하여 신성 모독하는 자에게는 그것이 용서되지 아니하리라.

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
