Earlier today the Military Region #7 command conducted a flag raising ceremony for 5 maritime militia ships in Vũng Tàu. Since the ships belong to the Militia and Self-Defence Force they are also flying flags with the militia/SDF's familiar diamond-shaped insignia.
The vessels had been built at the state-owned Z124, X51, and Z55 shipyards. It would be remembered that the keels for the first couple ships had been laid down in November 2019 and that there were plans to build a total of 126 vessels divided between 14 coastal provinces.
