Indian Maritime history in general and #Indigenous shipbuilding history in particular has been created on 28 July 2022 with the delivery of the prestigious Indigenous Aircraft Carrier #IAC #Vikrant to #IndianNavy by #CSL. The ship has been delivered following extensive user acceptance trials between August 2021 and July 2022, during which ship's hull, main propulsion, PGD, auxiliary equipment, machinery and systems including  aviation facilities were proved satisfactory. The delivery of Vikrant is testimony to the dedicated efforts of large number of stakeholders within Indian Navy, shipyard, industry, OEMs and  #MSMEs for over two decades and unstinted support of the #MoD. With indigenous design and construction of IAC, India joins a select group of nations having niche capability to indigenously design, build and integrate a state-of-the art #AircraftCarrier.
