STRONGER TOGETHER | PH #Navy forges ties with JMSDF through Maritime Cooperative Activity

Philippine Navy corvette BRP Conrado Yap (PS39) fosters stronger ties with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's JS Harusame (DD102), a Murasame-class destroyer, through a Bilateral Exercise and Maritime Cooperative Activity near Zambales in the #WestPhilippineSea following JS Harusame's port call in #Subic.

This interaction aims to enhance cooperation and deepen the bilateral relationship between the two navies for effective deterrence and for a safe and secured maritime order based on the rule of law.

In a farewell message thru radio, both the Philippine Navy's BRP Conrado Yap and the 防衛省　海上自衛隊　(Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force)'s JS Harusame reaffirmed commitment to promote cooperation and to build a strong strategic partnership in pursuit of common interest and maintain freedom of navigation in the region.
