세르게이 자하로프는 지난 가을 처음으로 전쟁에 반대하는 목소리를 냈고, 페름 시 두마 의원직을 사임함.

9월에 그와 그의 가족은 독일로 떠났고 그곳에서 전쟁에 대해 씀. 두 달 후 그는 "통합 러시아"에서 제명됨.

그는 푸틴에 대해 "그는 위대한 국가의 위대한 대통령이 될 수 있었지만 가난한 나라의 작은 독재자로 역사에 남을 것"이라고 말했다.
