현재 필리핀이 차기 잠수함을 진행하고 있는 가운데, 한화오션이 필리핀에게 장보고-3PN을 제안했다고 하는데, 필리핀에게 제안하는 잠수함은 배수량 2,800톤, 전장 77미터, 폭 9.7미터임.


이정도면 3천톤급 거의 달하는 정도인데 VLS은 없고, 장보고-3를 조금 축소한 모델인걸로 알려짐. 지금 필리핀은 한국 말고도 스페인, 프랑스와 경쟁중임.


스페인은 S-80은 아직 안나왔고, 프랑스는 스코르펜급 나왔는데 우리보다 더 좋은조건을 내걸었고,
