그래서 보통 F-16에 장착하는 미사일 런쳐들의 대부분은 AIM-9와 AIM-120 암람 공대공 미사일을 병행하면서 쓸 수 있는 LAU-129와 윙탭에 장착되는 미사일 런쳐를쓰는 경우가 많으며 AIM-7 전용 미사일 런쳐는 이라크(F-16IQ) 등의 일부 국가를 제외하면 잘 사용하지 않음.
