The violence at Fort Sde Teiman erupted after Military Police investigators showed up at the base on Monday morning to detain suspect soldiers, according to the military. TV footage showed the Military Police members, some of them masked, leading one soldier away.

군에 따르면, 월요일 아침 군사경찰 수사관이 용의자 군인을 구금하기 위해 기지에 나타난 후 스데 테이만 요새에서 폭력이 터졌다고 합니다. TV 영상에는 복면을 쓴 군사경찰이 한 군인을 끌고 가는 모습이 나왔습니다.

A heated argument broke out between the Military Police investigators and soldiers at the base, and a group of far-right lawmakers and activists headed toward Sde Teiman to join the fracas, outraged at the detention of the soldiers. Some of those gathered outside then broke into the base itself.
