A cover for an empty rail missile launcher that can be used in flight. The cover is shaped to reflect radar signals transmitted
by a radar transmitter away from the radar transmitter to reduce detectibility by radar. The cover may also be coated
with radar absorbent material to reduce detectibility by radar.

F/A-18E/F는 flutter(공진)현상을 억제하기 위해, 미사일을 장착하지 않더라도 날개 양 끝단의 미사일 런처를 제거하고 비행하는것이 금지됨.
따라서 해당하는 파일런의 결합부가 난반사를 유발, RCS 증가를 유발할수 있었음.

미사일 런처를 덮는 커버를 개발, 장착하면 rcs의 감소를 꾀할수 있으며, 추가적으로 ram 을 코팅할 경우 더욱 효과를 증대할수 있음.



물론 이런걸 몰랐다는 이유는 채용이 안됐으니까.
