나는 레인저에 자원하였고, 내가 선택한 직책의 위험성을 충분히 알고 있으며, 항상 레인저로서의 위엄과 명예, 높은 단결력을 유지하기 위해 노력할 것이다.


Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.





레인저는 육지, 바다, 하늘의 모든 최전선에서 앞장서는 최정예 병사들이란 것을 인식하며, 레인저 부대원으로서 다른 병사들보다도 더 먼 곳에서 제일 먼저 힘든 싸움에 임할 것을 각오한다.


Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier.





나는 결코 동료를 버리지 않을 것이다. 항상 심신을 바르고 강하게 단련할 것이며, 언제나 더 많은 임무에 자원할 것이고, 그것이 어떤 임무든지 100% 완수 해낼 것이다.


Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong, and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one hundred percent and then some.





나는 내가 특별히 선발된 최고의 훈련을 받은 군인이라는 것을 세상에 보여줄 것이다. 항상 상급자에게 예우를 갖추고, 복장을 단정히 하고, 장비 관리에 힘써 타의 모범이 될 것이다.


Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress, and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.





나는 조국의 적과 조우했을때 전력을 다해 맞서 싸워 승리할 것이다. 레인저에게 항복은 없다. 결코 쓰러진 전우를 적의 손아귀에 넘기지 않을 것이며, 어떠한 상황에서도 내 조국을 부끄럽게 만들지 않을 것이다.


Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.





나는 레인저에게 부여된 임무를 완수하기 위한 기꺼이 전투에 참가하여 용맹을 증명할 것이며, 최후의 1명이 되더라도 반드시 임무를 완수할 것이다.


Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude(courage) required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor.
